RISS Science Fair 2014

Back in June this year, the Primary students of R.E.A.L International School, Cheras Campus held its inaugural ‘Science Fair’. Having their very own Science Fair for the first time certainly thrilled and excited the students as it provided them with the opportunity to experience hands-on learning and healthy competition amongst their classmates from both Key Stages 1 and 2.

Over the three-day fair, the Key Stage 1 students participated in a Science Quiz. This began with the preliminary rounds that were conducted in the respective homerooms from which four finalists were chosen from each level. The Quiz Finals were later held in the Performing Art Room where Yap Hao Yi from Year 1 Honour and Tan Chloe Yan Zi from Year 2 Honour emerged victorious.

The Key Stage 2 students meanwhile; researched, designed and carried out various experiments within their groups. They then completed a report which includes the aim, materials, procedures, results, graph, observation and conclusion of their chosen experiment. All groups presented the findings of their respective experiments in front of the judges via PowerPoint.

After much deliberation, the winning classes and students were:
