A Surian Sojourn South

It was that time of the year again for the Year 6 students of R.E.A.L International School, Suria Campus, Cheras to embark on their annual Graduation Trip. This time around, the excursion brought them down south to the cities of Johor Bahru and Malacca.

Accompanied by their teachers and tour guides from Pearl Holidays, the students set off on a three-day, two-night trip from the campus by coach; with the first stop being the historical city of Malacca. On arrival, the group wasted no time in kicking off their tour by visiting the state’s famous landmarks and locales such as ‘A Famosa’ and Jonker Street. After a day of sightseeing and taking in all the culture and heritage on offer; the students were tasked with reflecting on their personal experiences and sharing them with their friends.

The tour itinerary continued the following day with a trip further down south to the bustling city of Johor Bahru on the tip of the peninsula, where the group visited major attractions like Legoland and UK Farm. The youngsters had a fantastic time at the internationally-renowned theme park, where they immersed themselves in activities like the ‘LEGO Challenge’ and rode on the park’s various uniquely-designed rides. The UK Farm meanwhile, offered students the opportunity to get up close with its many four-legged residents via fun activities like the Safari Ride, Multi-Animal Show and even a thrilling ‘Catch the Sheep’ challenge.

All in all, the trip was truly a fun and fitting end to not only the students’ academic term, but also their entire Primary education journey. As these graduates look forward to stepping into Secondary school life, they can reminisce fondly on this trip with smiles on their faces as everyone had a thoroughly good time creating cherished, lifelong memories with their mates while fostering the spirit of togetherness in true R.E.A.L fashion.
