At R.E.A.L Schools, we pride ourselves in giving students a distinct and diverse range of learning experiences that not only enhance their knowledge and skills; but also nurture their talent, potential and character as well. This broad range of educational endeavours encompasses everything from student excursions to practical, hands-on learning platforms.
At R.E.A.L International School, Suria Campus, Cheras or RISS, many Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) are organized throughout the academic year by its various clubs and societies. This year, RISS had its first ever ‘The Voice’ event (based on the hit American reality TV singing competition) conducted by the school’s English Club; along with carom and chess competitions by the Board Games Club; and even its own version of ‘Master Chef Junior’, another hit reality TV show, by the Living Skills Club.
Students across Year 1 to 6 participating in these CCA were given the opportunity to showcase their budding skills and talents in the above activities. Depending on the event, students learned how to be independent or how to be a team player, or both. As proceedings got underway, their competitive and collaborative spirits came to the fore. This was particularly evident when it came to sushi making, in which many R.E.A.L hidden talents were discovered in the art of preparing the delectable little delights.
The value of good sportsmanship and self-confidence were instilled within the young Surians during these activities. With R.E.A.L being the acronym for Results Enhancing through Active Learning, these events are the very platforms on which students are able to engage in their respective transformative journeys that ultimately produce results; results that not only encompass academic achievements but also extracurricular accomplishments that build excellent character and self-belief.
